Former Valencia wing-back Daniel Wass is delighted to have joined Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone welcomed his experience after arriving from Valencia, where he had spent four years and made 121 appearances in LaLiga Santander for Los Che.

"I really want to play for this great club, it's a dream to play for Atletico Madrid," Wass detailed at his introductory press conference.

"I want to help out in the second part of the season. We have good players, we're in the Champions League and last season the team won the league, it's a very competitive team."

When pressed further on his desire to represent Los Colchoneros, the Danish international wasn't able to hide his excitement.

"When I got the call from Atletico, I said 'Of course I want to go', it's a club that has won so many titles," Wass continued.

"They have great fans that help the team a lot."
