Boudewijn Zenden is believed to be close to winning a short-term deal with Celtic after impressing in training.
The 35-year old Dutch midfielder, who has previously played with Chelsea, Barcelona and Liverpool, has been without a club since departing Sunderland at the end of last season but could be back in the professional fray after playing the full 90 minutes in a friendly match against St Johnstone yesterday.
It is believed that a deal could soon be finalised once terms are agreed meaning Zenden could be available for Celtic's next league match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on November 19.
