Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier is being linked with Newcastle United.
The Telegraph says Galtier is under consideration at Newcastle with Alan Pardew leaving for Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman, 48, was linked with Newcastle at the end of last season.
Galtier has previous English coaching experience, having worked as Alain Perrin's No2 with Portsmouth.
He is now in his fifth year with Les Verts.
