Former Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta is joining Manchester City.

The Mirror says Arteta has joined Pep Guardiola 's Manchester City revolution.

Former Arsenal captain Arteta has agreed a deal to become one of Guardiola's coaches and it will be formally announced imminently.

The 34 year old snubbed an approach from Tottenham and also late interest from Arsenal to be part of their academy to join old pal Guardiola at the Etihad.

Arteta is seen as an outstanding future managerial prospect and left Arsenal on good enough terms to one day potentially return.
