Everton youngster Jack Butler has signed a first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old, who has been with the Toffees since the age of 13, has put pen to paper on a pro deal.

A part of Leighton Baines' squad at youth level, Butler is hoping that he can push forward to the U21s.

“I'm delighted," he told evertonfc.com.

“My dad also supports Everton so it is great - I love it all. I'm hoping to spend as many years as I can here. I just can't wait for the new season and to get started now.

“I'm also hoping I can play as many games as I can for the Under-21 and potentially catch the eye of Sean Dyche to train with the senior team, too."
