Everton winger Andros Townsend has spoken of his delight at finally making his comeback.
The attacker is back in action after 13 months out with an ACL injury.
Townsend, who arrived at Goodison Park in the summer of 2021, suffered the injury in March 2022.
The 31-year-old never gave up on returning and played for the Under-21s against Leicester City this week.
After the game, Townsend tweeted: "[It's] been the toughest 13 months of my life but putting on that blue shirt again makes it all worth it!!"
The ex-Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur star will be hoping to eventually play a first team game before the season concludes.
