Everton are continuing talks with PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye about a return to Merseyside.

After negotiations appeared to cool last week, L'Equipe says Everton are back in talks with Gueye's agents.

The midfielder is available from PSG and there are suggestions he could meet with Everton officials this week to discuss personal terms.

Gueye left Everton almost three years ago for PSG.

Asked for an update on Saturday, Everton manager Frank Lampard replied: "He's a PSG player. It's that simple. You can draw your own conclusions."
