Everton manager Marco Silva wants to go to the top of the Premier League this weekend.

Given the Merseyside club play on Friday against Aston Villa, they have a chance to stamp their authority on the league table before others play.

Silva knows that it will be hard work to get past Villa, but he wants his team to get the job done.

"It would be good but we have to prove we are able to do that," said Silva to reporters.

"It is up to us to prove on the pitch we are able to get the three points.

"We have to respect our opponent, they have quality. Like always we go there to win a football match and play at our best level."
