Everton's head of schoolboy recruitment, Phil Cannon, has moved to Derby County reports the club's official website.

Cannon will take on the role of Academy manager for the Pride Park club.

Everton's Academy manager Ray Hall said: "I would personally like to thank Phil for the all hard work and effort he has put in during his time here at Everton. Cannon starts his new role next week and Hall hopes that only good things are to come for the man who was well respected in the Blues' academy set-up.

He added: "We would all at Everton like to wish Phil all the very best for the future and wish him every success in his new role as Academy manager at Derby County."
