Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford feels he's improved as England's World Cup campaign has run on.
Pickford's performances saw him compared to Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton in the post match press conference, with the keeper insisting that his earlier sub-par showing against Belgium in the group stage has only inspired him to improve.
"I've had a good season and it's all about being on the big stage," Pickford stated.
"I just work hard in training every day, that's why I make clean sheets. I play in the moment, nothing fazes me. The pitch is always the same, it's just a game of football.
"I always enjoy football. I train hard every game and it shows in my performances on matchday. Criticism doesn't affect me, it just makes me want to play better."
