Everton academy coach Neil Dewsnip is delighted to be taking his squad to the USA for their preseason.
The academy are twinning with the senior squad for their trip to the 'States.
"It is very exciting for the youth programme," Dewsnip told evertonfc.com. "It is the first time we have done it and we are very much looking forward to flying to Austria with the first team and the reserve group.
"We will not work directly with the first team but we will be there in the same environment and what a powerful message that is - particularly to the new intake of players - in terms of providing role models and them seeing the senior players and how they work.
"After that we have the trip to the States, to Philadelphia, and we have a game against the New York Red Bulls and then against the Philadelphia Union directly before the first-team game."
