Brighton are preparing a new deal for teenage star Evan Ferguson in the coming weeks.

The 18-year-old is enjoying the breakthrough season of his wildest dreams in the Premier League.

Ferguson, who was wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea before he signed for Brighton, has seven goals and three assists in 16 senior games this term.

Per The Sun, Brighton will try to ward off summer suitors with a huge wage rise for Ferguson.

However, they will have to convince the player he is not better off signing for a top club in the summer.

Ferguson may believe he already has the tools to succeed at a team playing in the Champions League.
