Eric Garcia was proud to make a winning debut in Manchester City's Carabao Cup shootout victory over Leicester City.
The 17-year-old Spanish defender was drafted in by manager Pep Guardiola and produced an assured display as City overcame Leicester 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out in the fifth round clash at the King Power Stadium after the sides had been tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Afterwards, Garcia told City TV: “I still can't believe it. It was amazing experience and I was really happy.
“All the squad helped me in the game and beforehand, especially the other central defenders like Nico (Otamendi), John (Stones), Vincent (Kompany) and Aymeric (Laporte).
“I would prefer to win the normal way, but these games are very difficult. You cannot relax for a second because these teams are really good."
