Ross Barkley believes that England have a bright future ahead.

The attacking midfielder was speaking about the latest crop of youngsters, which includes Jadon Sancho, Declan Rice and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

All three featured in England's 5-1 win over Montenegro in a Euro2020 qualifier on Monday.

And the 25-year-old is impressed with what he has already seen from the young trio.

"The future is really bright," Barkley told Sky Sports.

"You see how the young players have performed and how good they are - Declan Rice, Jadon Sancho and ­Callum Hudson-Odoi.

"They were frightening in training. It's great to be part of it."
