Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi has declared his pride over Guglielmo Vicario's move to Tottenham.
The 26 year-old goalkeeper is set for a Spurs medical today after Empoli accept a €20m offer on Thursday.
Corsi is happy with the deal and for Vicario, who joined from Cagliari two years ago for €10m.
“We bought him back to sell him on," he admitted to Lady Radio. “We also paid a lot to sign him considering our finances.
“It's a source of pride for us that the top teams have him in their sights. He's also a special person, not just as a footballer."
