Empoli fullback Giovanni Di Lorenzo has welcomed interest from Napoli.

Di Lorenzo is among the right-backs being linked with the Azzurri this summer.

"If Napoli were my future, it would be a dream," the 26-year-old told Corriere dello Sport.

“Relationships between the clubs have led to many deals in the past, almost as if it was a message of destiny.

“I've promised my girlfriend that if I join a big team, we'll get married. Therefore, every promise is a debt.

“I'm not insensitive to the transfer rumours. They give me the right motivation, knowing that Empoli take precedence.

“I'm grateful to sporting director [Pietro] Accardi, who had the courage to fish me out of Serie C and give me a chance.

“Without certain passages, without the courage of those who decide to focus on you, you remain anonymous."
