Eintracht Frankfurt centre-forward Rob Friend is being considered by West Bromwich Albion.
The Sunday Mercury says the Canada international is being tracked by Baggies boss Roy Hodgson.
Hodgson is keen to add reinforcements in the hope of steering Albion to another mid-table finish in the Premier League.
