Odsonne Edouard is excited to play under Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira.

Edouard completed a move to Palace from Celtic on deadline day.

And the Frenchman admits Vieira's presence played a part in his decision to join Palace.

"He's a French legend," Edouard said of Vieira. "In France everyone knows him.

"So for me it's big to play for him and I'm looking forward to progressing a lot with him."

Asked what else made him join the Eagles, Edouard added: "The way the team play, the level of the players there, the new manager.

"For me as well it's a new challenge, the best league for me so I can't say no to this team."
