Real Betis have signed Internacional midfielder Johnny Cardoso.

The USA international's move was announced by Betis on Wednesday evening.

Cardoso arrives for a fee of €7m for 80 per cent of his registration from Internacional.

The midfielder has also signed a six-year contract to 2029.

Cardoso carries an Italian passport, so there is no concern about him taking a non-EU spot.
