DONE DEAL: Groningen chief explains deal for Man City signing Uriel Antuna

Manchester City and FC Groningen have worked together to sign Mexican youngster Uriel Antuna.

City signed the wing-back from Santos Laguna last month and he has now been loaned to Groningen.

Interestingly, Groningen hold a percentage of any resale for Antuna, who has signed a two-year deal with City.

"We were looking for speed and depth," said technical manager Peter Jeltema to Voetbal International.

"With Antuna we found that. We had him in sight for a long time, as well as Manchester City, they signed him this summer and we can loan him. You can say that we have acted jointly in this case."
