Giovanni van Bronckhorst has cut ties with Manchester City to take charge of China's Guangzhou R&F.
The former Feyenoord boss has been appointed new coach of Guangzhou R&F.
Van Bronckhorst had been contracted to the City Group, where he was in line to take charge one of their satellite teams in the view to eventually succeeding Pep Guardiola as City manager.
However, a bumper contract offer from Guangzhou R&F has turned his head and he is now to take charge of the Chinese Premier League outfit.
Interestingly, the decision has upset some connected to Feyenoord as Guangzhou R&F has formal ties with Ajax.
