Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves has apologised for his strop at the end of their Champions League win at Manchester City.

Alves lashed out after being substituted late in the game.

"If I make a mistake like I did yesterday, I apologise, especially to anyone I may have upset or in this case got wet," Alves posted on Instagram.

In an attempt to avoid any kind of controversy, he ended his statement saying: "I don't know how long my relationship with this club will last, but, as long as I'm here, everyone close to me will be proud of my hard work and dedication."
