Kenny Dalglish admits he considered new Manchester City signing Matija Nastasic for Liverpool.

However, Dalglish fears the young Serb's development may have stalled.

He wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "They've brought in Matija Nastasic, but I'm not sure how much he'll play.

"I saw him when he was 16 and he looked a great prospect, then he went to Fiorentina and played most of his time at left-back."
