Crystal Palace defender Andersen: Big club move must happen soon

Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen admits he fancies a move to a top four club.

The Dane feels now is the right time to make the move.

He said, "It is clear that this summer I will be 28 years old. So it is also limited how much money clubs will spend on a 28-year-old, or, if it is for next year, 29-year-old, so it will have to be soon if something is to happen.

"Of course I would like to take a step up, but it is not up to me. I actually think I've played three good seasons in the Premier League and I'm starting a fourth, which has started well.

"I am doing my part to take a step up. All players want to play at the highest level possible and ultimately it is up to the sporting directors to make those choices.

"I can't do that much and nothing I use a lot of gunpowder on. I'm happy to be at Palace and I have a big role, so that's what I spend time on.

" What is the difference between top 6 or top 4 in the Premier League? It changes from season to season. Top 6 will always be cool, but whether it is another place for a top club, time will tell."
