Crystal Palace have confirmed Shaun Derry has returned to the club.

Derry had been axed by former manager Patrick Vieira last season before his own dismissal.

But in a short statement, Palace announced he would be joining Roy Hodgson's staff for the new season.

"Crystal Palace are pleased to confirm that Shaun Derry has joined Roy Hodgson's staff alongside Paddy McCarthy, Ray Lewington and Dean Kiely," it was confirmed yesterday.
