Crystal Palace boss Hodgson hints at board problems

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has hinted at problems with the board this summer.

Hodgson admits that Aaron Wan-Bissaka's big money move to Manchester United has left a hole in defence, and that certain areas need to be improved upon.

He said, "We need players in certain positions, for example Aaron Wan-Bissaka has not been replaced. We don't have two right-backs at the club at the moment. We don't have two left-backs either.

"Simple things like that need dealing with. In other areas we can get by because we do have bodies. But we were hoping to improve our time and compensate for the loss of Aaron Wan-Bissaka because he's gonna be a big loss for us. He was so good the last season and a half."

He added: "Sporting director Doug Freedman and our chairman Steve Parish, I know they are working hard to find the right people to bring in. I'm confident that before the start of the season this squad will look bigger in terms of numbers and stronger in terms of the quality of player we bring in."
