Wales coach Chris Coleman says they're prepared to release Joe Allen back to Stoke City.
Allen is a major doubt for the Welsh side's World Cup qualifier against Georgia on Sunday after limping out of a 2-2 draw in Austria, in which he scored a cracking opening goal.
"We'll assess him in the next 24 to 48 hours," Wales manager Chris Coleman told the BBC. "He'll be scanned and it's how he reacts.
"If anything comes up on the scan, we wouldn't gamble with any of the players because it's not in our interests to do that.
"Joe belongs to Stoke City and we have to send him back in the condition that we received him. That's why we he came off."
