Chelsea must pay huge fee for young ex-Brighton pair

Chelsea have been instructed to pay a major fee to a Premier League rival for a youth signing.

The Blues are set to fork over £7.65 million to Brighton in the coming years.

They are being asked to pay the money, per The Standard, for two academy talents they secured from Brighton.

Brighton full-back Zak Sturge and striker Shumaira Mheuka are the players in question.

Most of that money is incentivized, as it will involve the players going on to have stellar careers.

However, there is a lump sum that must be paid soon, but the amount is far lower than the total judgment.
