Three clubs from the English Championship are assessing a Republic of Ireland midfielder this week.
Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom are all keen on bringing in Newcastle United midfielder Jeff Hendrick.
The 31-year-old is free to leave the St. James' Park club, as he is not in manager Eddie Howe's plans.
Hendrick was on loan at Reading in the Championship last season, but he did not sign with the Royals permanently.
Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen are also keen on Hendrick, but he may prefer to remain in England.
All the Championship clubs would offer him regular football, which is important to Hendrick at this stage of his career.
