Bruno Guimaraes thrilled with first Newcastle goal: I've turned frustration into good energy

Bruno Guimaraes is delighted with his first weeks at Newcastle.

The former Lyon star made the move in January and scored in victory against Southampton this week.

Guimaraes told Globoesporte: "These are the beginnings I had dreamed of! I was eager to start my first game as a starter and I think I managed to play a good game.

"My goal came to crown all my work and my daily efforts. I'm sure it's only the beginning and that I will still grow a lot in Newcastle and in the Premier League.

"Since I arrived, the team has made great progress and is well in place. Obviously not having a lot of game time bothers me, but I turn it into good energy when I step onto the pitch. Whether in training or on my entries.

"I have a lot of respect for my teammates and the staff, but I will be fully involved to be a starter."
