Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce remains keen on signing Joe Willock from Arsenal.
The young midfielder enjoyed an excellent loan spell at St. James' Park during the second half of last season, netting seven goals in seven games.
But Bruce says the ball is in Arsenal's court over whether a transfer will take place.
"As I've said, it's really Arsenal's decision, and until Arsenal make a decision – a bit like all the big clubs, they have a look over pre-season – we'll keep monitoring and badgering away," he said, via NUFC Blog.
" We'd love to do something but it's still Arsenal's call."
