Britton urges Swansea teammates to remain focused on job at hand

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton hopes the club can finish higher than their current position of 11th but has warned complacency will not get them there.

The Welsh club have surprised all with the results they have obtained in their first Premier League campaign but Britton knows that in such a cut-throat competition that things can turn very quickly.

The Swans have 10 matches remaining to keep themselves around the middle of the table and can even sneak into the top ten if things go well and the players stay focused suggests the 29-year old.

"We want to finish as high as we can. We have no intention of letting our season just peter out, it's not about just making sure we are safe we want to push on as much as we can and try and finish as high as we can," he told Wales Online.

"Of course, after the win over Man City (on the weekend) the confidence is going to be sky high because of doing that. But at the same time we have to keep our feet on the ground.

"We can't get too carried away. We have to be at our best to beat teams, we can't think we are just going to turn up and win games."
