Brighton winger Trossard full of praise for De Zerbi impact

Brighton winger Leandro Trossard believes that manager Roberto De Zerbi is already making an impact on the team tactically.

The new boss has taken over from Graham Potter, who is now at Chelsea.

However, Brighton showed no signs of missing their old coach as they drew 3-3 in the Premier League against Liverpool last weekend.

“Under the new manager you can see how he wants to play and in the last week he has trained us a lot on the tactical side," Trossard told the club website.

“He wants us to play out from the back and in a special way. We have some exciting times coming up with him.

“He said as well that he didn't want to change too much because he didn't have the time, that's why he kept the system in place from before."

Trossard added: “He's much more present, he's more active in a certain way, he's always there, always shouting, not in a bad way, but you just notice his presence. He's so passionate about football.

“He's trying to get to know us, as well as what we're about on the pitch. It's different to before.

“He loves to play in the rondos with us, he's quite good to be fair. He's a young coach, and he can still play."
