Brighton are preparing to extend Leandro Trossard's contract to ensure he is not lost this summer.
The Belgian has a contract that runs out at the end of this season.
However, talkSPORT claims the Albion will trigger a one year extension in Trossard's contract to keep him at the club for the immediate future.
Roberto De Zerbi is a huge fan of Trossard, while he has excelled under the new manager.
However, the 28-year-old will be reluctant to sign a new, long term deal at Brighton with many top clubs chasing his signature.
Trossard is being linked to the likes of Newcastle United and Chelsea.
