Brighton have moved to protect manager Roberto de Zerbi from comments made on fake social media account attributed to him.

This morning on a personal (and even verified) Instagram page, some comments by De Zerbi on the conflict between Israel and Palestine had appeared.

Brighton and the agency that looks after the interests of the Italian coach immediately clarified the issue, insisting he is not registered on Instagram and that it is therefore a fake profile.

Brighton have announced they've approached Meta, owners of Instagram, to take the account down.
