Brighton star Leandro Trossard's memorable hat-trick against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend has been wildly praised.
The winger scored the first hat-trick for the Albion in the Premier League in nearly 42 years.
Two men who did score hat-tricks for Brighton in the top flight when they were teammates - Peter Ward and Gordon Smith - spoke about Trossard's efforts.
Smith told The Argus: “In terms of hat-tricks, I enjoyed mine and the circumstances of being 3-0 down and coming back to draw 3-3.
“But I think if you are looking at top-flight hat-tricks for Brighton - Peter Ward, me and this one now - you have to say the top one is the one on Saturday.
“That's a fantastic hat-trick, to score three at Anfield."
Ward, speaking from Florida, added: “It was a great hat-trick, great finishing."
He added: “He's playing well - hopefully he's not going to go to Chelsea!"
