Brighton chief Paul Barber has welcomed their Europa League draw with Roma.

The two teams will meet in the round of 16.

Barber told BBC Radio Sussex: "Very exciting draw, there were many great clubs level like Milan or Bayer Leverkusen, which however we couldn't meet at this stage.

"It will be a fantastic challenge in a big city, our fans have already been to Amsterdam, Athens and Marseille. Rome will therefore be another piece in our trip to Europe.

"We can't wait, we know it will be a difficult match, but when you get to this point in the competition you already know that there will be no easy draws. This is one of those matches that everyone wants to play.

"It's our first appearance in Europe and we are enjoying every minute, but it has already been a very exciting trip. There will be a very warm atmosphere in Rome, as it will be on the way back."
