Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi retains confidence in his players ahead of their Europa League clash with Roma.

Brighton will go into the round of 16 first-leg on the back of a 3-0 defeat at Fulham.

But De Zerbi says: "I have a big confidence in my players.

"First of all in the human part and I know when we lose this game we have a reaction.

"I don't know if we lose or win on Thursday but I'm sure we will play with another attitude, energy and character.

"We deserve to be in the final eight of the Europa League. Last season we made a miracle and we want to compete in our way for sure."
