Bournemouth boss Jon Woodgate was upset with Southampton's second goal in their 3-0 FA Cup defeat.

Moussa Djenepo opened the scoring for Saints with Nathan Redmond netting a double.

Redmond's first on the afternoon came in first-half stoppage time. Saints were awarded a throw-in after Steve Cook and Che Adams competed for the ball.

And after Ryan Bertrand's throw, Stuart Armstrong's neat flick set Redmond on his way to running at goal and drilling into the top corner.

Asked about the second goal, Woodgate said: “To be honest with you, it should have been a throw-in (to Cherries).

“Steve Cook kicked it off their man, or block-tackled.

“It should have been our ball, that was the most frustrating thing. We were remonstrating with the fourth official about it.

“It was a blatant decision that they have missed. The fourth official has got to help the referee in that situation.

“It is disappointing but we should do a lot better with that second goal. When you go in at 1-0 it's different, 2-0 is difficult.

“The players kept on going. I can't knock their attitudes or their mentality."
