Former Feyenoord star Johan Boskamp has urged his old club to give Ibrahim Afellay a swerve.
The Stoke City midfielder has been banned from the training ground by manager Paul Lambert and is expected to be released from the final year of his contract at the end of this season.
Former PSV Eindhoven star Afellay has been linked with Feyenoord, but Boskamp declared: "No, Feyenoord must not take Afellay. They should not do that.
"He is very sensitive to injury. We already have Robin van Persie, who is also the same. So we'd have two of those guys walking around. He (Afellay) could always play nice balls, though."
