Bordeaux manager Laurent Blanc has urged his side to defend better in the return leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Les Girondins went down 3-1 to French rivals Lyon on Tuesday night and Blanc wants to see a marked improvement in the defensive third and also rued the decision to award a penalty to Lyon when the match was in the balance.
"If we are to overcome this we will have to defend better than we did, that was key to the game," he told AS.
"We were closer to 2-2 than 3-1. The player cannot keep his arms any closer to his body," he said of the penalty in the 77th minute.
