Stoke City face competition for Nancy left-back Jean Calve.
Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is also chasing Calve, having scouted him extensively last year while with Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle.
Allardyce has already made an approach for 24-year-old Calve, who has been told he can leave for £1m.
