Former Everton midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has recalled playing for Bill Kenwright.

The Blues chairman passed away on Tuesday.

Bilyaletdinov recalled to TASS: "We knew each other, he attended team events a couple of times.

"So, in principle, he always sat in the box during the games. He came to the training base.

"As chairman he was so passionate and demanding, he sometimes got angry, for example, when we were eliminated from the FA Cup by Reading, we then beat Chelsea away, and then we were eliminated by Reading!

"He was quite an impressive man."
