Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco is delighted with the form of Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Tielemans shone in the Euro qualifying win against Serbia.

“He played fantastic," Tedesco said of Tielmans after full-time. “He had the right feeling to change the rhythm, to change.

“He also recovered very well and won many balls. Or did it have to do with the fact that he was higher up the field? I do not think so. He also played well in a more defensive role."

Tielemans completed 83 per cent of his passes and 100 per cent of the tackles he attempted.

The 26-year-old also created the most chances and made the most tackles of any other player on the pitch.
