Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is out until the new year at the very least.
The German midfielder, who can also play as a full back, tested positive for COVID-19 last month.
The 26-year-old, who admitted that he was not vaccinated against the virus, is now out of his quarantine period.
However, Kimmich stated that he was experiencing infiltration in his lungs, which may be causing him problems in returning to full training.
"I'm dying to get started and to be with the team," Kimmich said on Instagram.
"However, I have to be patient a little longer. I'll watch the remaining three games this year from the couch and we'll attack together again from January."
