Bayern Munich will not sign James Rodriguez and then sell him for an immediate profit.
The Colombian is close to completing his two-year loan from Real Madrid. Reports had suggested Bayern would this month trigger a clause to make the deal permanent and then look to sell him immediately, with Arsenal interested in the 26-year-old.
But the club's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has denied those claims.
"We'll look at the second half of the season and draw the right conclusions," he told Sport Bild.
"That would not be Bayern's style. If we decide on a player then he remains part of Bayern."
