Bayern Munich coach Nagelsmann: I'll shake Lewandowski's hand; our fans will thank him - unlike other stadiums

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann hopes fans do not jeer Robert Lewandowski tomorrow night.

The Pole returns to the Allianz Arena with Barcelona for the first time since his summer sale.

Ahead of the Champions League clash, Nagelsmann said at today's presser: "It is clear that I will shake his hand when I see him and I will be happy if our fans receive him well. That is normal when someone has given so much for the club.

"In general, this is how it should be. I'm glad the fans want to thank him for everything he has achieved with Bayern. There are stadiums where they don't do that. He was an important part of the Bayern family and I am looking forward to seeing him again.

"I'm not going to eat with him because we already did it a few weeks ago."

He also said: "I don't know how long he will be at this level. I wish him to be like this for many seasons. He'll be at this level. He'll score a lot of goals. Here we're used to him scoring a lot of goals every season, more than 40 at times, but I don't know what will happen in the LaLiga."
