Barcelona winger Neymar has blanked the media while with Brazil's squad in Switzerland.

Club and international teammate Daniel Alves defended his friend over his media gag.

"It's time to talk less and work more," said Alves.

"It is a sum of many things, but I am convinced that if Neymar does not talk it is because it is time to avoid distractions. Normally that creates problems, so we must respect his point of view."
