Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni admits he's excited about the season ahead.

Tchouameni has also declared Real's midfield the best in the world.

He said: "We've been working hard these days with (fitness coach Antonio) Pintus and the coaching staff, we're happy. We're not playing friendly matches because we're playing against good teams and we want to do well. We are working really well in training and we want to do the same in the matches.

“We've been playing well in the pre-season. We're using a new system and we have to learn how to play in this system every day. We have an amazing team and I'm sure we're going to have an incredible season.

“I feel good with the team and I think I've done a good job. I also worked a lot with the fitness coach during the holidays. I feel good on the pitch, we want to play well and improve every day.

“I think we have the best midfield in the world with legends like Luka and Toni. We learn from them every day. We also have young players who are at an incredible level like Bellingham, Camavinga, Valverde, Ceballos and myself. We're going to do well this season."
