Atletico Madrid home fans jeered Antoine Griezmann upon his return in Wednesday night's 0-0 draw with Champions League opponents Porto.

There was plenty of debate ahead of the game as to whether Griezmann would be cheered or whistled on his return to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, yet the response was rather clear.

The Frenchman was loudly whistled when his name and number were announced on the loud speakers prior to the Champions League encounter against Porto.

Fans remain angry about the manner of his departure two years ago for parent club Barcelona.

Despite the fact that the Atletico players and directors publicly requested affection for Griezmann prior to the game, the fans made their feelings known about the forward's return.
